Alberta Police Report – January 7, 2013

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing a warning about Kevin John Taylor, 49 who was recently released from the Bowden Correction Centre after completing a 12 year sentence for sexual assault in the year 2000.

Taylor is a convicted violent sex offender who has sexually assaulted females 18 years and under. The Edmonton Police Service considers Taylor to be a high risk to re-offend sexually and violently against females. Taylor will be residing in the Edmonton area and will be monitored by the Behavioral Assessment Unit of the Edmonton Police Service.

The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community.


Members of the public are advised tha tthe intent of this process is to enable citizens to take suitable precautionary measures.
